What is Restylane?
Restylane is a versatile dermal filler designed to address lost volume, wrinkles and folds that surface as part of the natural aging process. Composed of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance found in the body’s tissues, Restylane boosts fullness and moisture in the skin, restoring its smooth and youthful quality. Refyne
Restylane Refyne is used for defining and adding volume to lips, and smoothing nasolabial folds, aka “laugh lines”, and marionette lines (deep creases at the corners of the mouth). Thanks to its unique cross-linking gel formula known as XpresHAn Technology™, Refyne integrates with the skin to produce noticeable results while maintaining the face’s natural movements. The results with Refyne last approximately 12 months.
Defyne
Restylane Defyne is designed to smooth out deeper lines and folds such as nasolabial folds and marionette lines (deep creases at the corners of the mouth). It is formulated using the innovative XpresHAn Technology™, which gives the injectable substance a smooth consistency for more natural-looking results that do not interfere with natural facial expressions. The effects with Defyne last approximately 12 months.
Lyft
Restylane Lyft is the first and only FDA-approved hyaluronic acid based filler that treats the face and hands. Specifically, Lyft can restore volume on the back of the hands and cheeks, for a fuller and smoother appearance. The injectable product can also be used to correct age-related mid-face contour deficiencies, and soften moderate to severe facial folds, including nasolabial lines. The Lyft formula contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic that helps minimize discomfort during treatment. Restylane Lyft lasts approximately 1- 1 ½ years in the cheeks and slightly less long in the hands and facial folds/wrinkles.
Silk
Restylane Silk is the first filler product approved by the FDA to plump the lips and smooth out wrinkles around the mouth. Silk contains smaller and smoother hyaluronic acid particles than other Restylane products, making it ideal for the precise correction of fine wrinkles around the lips and natural-looking shaping of the lips. Silk is ideal for treating lips that have thinned out or lost shape over time, or vertical lines above the lips. Results last approximately six months.
Restylane-L
Restylane-Lis designed to treat moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds by adding youthful volume to the skin. At the Aesthetic Wellness Center, our team uses Restylane-L to treat deep tear troughs, or the grooves that sit between the lower eyelids and cheeks, and often create the appearance of a dark circle. Results with Restylane-L typically last 12 months.
Your Restylane Treatment with Aesthetic Wellness Center
Treatment with Restylane can be performed in a quick and easy in-office procedure. It generally takes no more than 30 minutes to complete, depending on the number of areas that are being treated. Before treatment, our team may numb the target area with a topical anesthetic, ensuring your full comfort. We will then inject the filler to the treatment area using an ultra fine needle or cannula. Immediately after treatment, there may be redness and bruising in the treated area, which can be concealed with makeup. These side effects are temporary and should subside within a few days. There is no downtime with Restylane, so patients can resume their normal activities immediately after treatment. Results become fully settled within a week of treatment.
