How much does cosmetic surgery cost?

Cosmetic surgery is becoming more and more common both in the US and around the world. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the number of people having cosmetic surgery to improve their appearance is growing. In fact, more than 15 million cosmetic surgery procedures, including both minimally-invasive and surgical, were performed in the United States in 2013. Whether it’s through a simple office treatment like Botox or a rejuvenating facelift, more and more of your friends, coworkers and neighbors are investing in themselves to put their “best face” forward. When that happens, the person often feel more confident and a world of opportunities opens.

Based on the latest statistics, facelifts and brow lifts are among the most requested cosmetic procedures in the United States. Every year, thousands of people sign up for these procedures.

For most patients, however, the cost of the surgery is generally one of their first concerns. While many are able to pay for such services out of pocket, others may be more interested in  low interest financing options.

At the end of the day, the cost of a brow lift or facelift is not set in stone. It truly varies based on several factors including:

• The surgeon’s skill and experience
• The surgeon’s general approach (natural looking vs. “obviously done”)
• The surgeon’s training and educational background
• The location that the surgery will be performed
• The overall quality of pre AND postoperative care provided by the team members

The AAFPRS (American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery) reports that the average cost of a brow lift is $4,000 – $7,000 while a facelift will cost around $8,800 – $11,000.
