Volbella Lip Augmentation in Boston
What is Volbella?
Juvederm Volbella XC, which is the latest FDA approved member of the Juvederm family of products, is an injectable filler that is used to increase lip fullness and soften the fine lines around the mouth. In a survey conducted by Allergan (the makers of Botox, Juvederm, Voluma, & Volbella), most patients were found to want smoother lips, not really full lips. The company then designed Volbella that does just that: it fills in lip lines and wrinkles and adds subtle volume to the lips. Results can last up to 12 months. After 3 months, 96.1% of patients treated with Volbella reported improvement in satisfaction with their lips.
How do I Know if I am a Candidate for Volbella?
To determine if you are a candidate for Volbella, you will need to meet with either Dr. Ahn or one of our Aesthetic Nurse Specialists. The ideal candidate for Volbella is someone who is looking to:
- Add natural, subtle volume to their lips
- Accentuate the border of their lips
- Smooth and soften vertical lip lines (“smoker’s lines”)
Recovery After Volbella Lip Rejuvenation
While most patients are able to resume normal activities right after the treatment, it is probably best not to have the treatment done within 24 hours of an important event. After your treatment, we will provide you with ice and Arnica, which is a homeopathic medication designed to help improve the swelling and bruising after a treatment. While some mild swelling and bruising can be expected, it usually disappears within a day or two. Immediately after the injection, you will be able to apply makeup to cover any bruises or discoloration.
How Much does Volbella Cost?
The cost of Volbella can vary depending on how much volume you will need. A typical treatment can cost anywhere between $700 – $1,700. Dr. Ahn and his staff can help you determine if Volbella is right for you. In order to know exactly what your needs are, schedule a consultation with Dr. Ahn or one of our Aesthetic Nurse Specialists to get an understanding of your needs, treatment options, and costs.
