Rachel McCarthy


Rachel McCarthy, RN, BSN started her education at UMass Amherst and received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Following graduation, she was hired by The Boston Red Sox to support Public Relations and aid in the organization of corporate events. After realizing her true passion was nursing, Rachel returned to UMass Amherst and completed the Nursing Program, graduating with honors. She has been personally trained by Dr. Ahn in aesthetic facial rejuvenation. Rachel has completed extensive and comprehensive training in aesthetic injectables, such as Botox, Juvederm, Dysport and Restylane.

Prior to joining The Aesthetic Wellness Center, Rachel worked for 12 years in world renowned New York hospitals and surgical centers. One of these facilities, The Laser and Skin Surgery Center of New York, is recognized as one of the top aesthetic practices in the country. While working at The Laser and Skin Surgery Center of New York, Rachel assisted a team of cosmetic surgeons in the operating room, cared for the patients post-surgery, and educated patients on how to take care of themselves after surgery. After spending nearly two years in this role, Rachel moved on to join New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell, one of the top hospitals in the country. Rachel worked at NYP for the past 9 years, providing exceptional patient care in plastic, pediatric, general, burn and trauma surgery.

Rachel’s desire to help people feel and look their best is what inspired her to pursue a career as an Aesthetic Nurse Specialist. Rachel believes there is nothing more rewarding than helping an individual bring out their most beautiful and confident self. Her philosophy is complimented by her passion for health and fitness. When not at work Rachel enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her two young daughters and husband.
