The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) showcased the expertise and knowledge of world-renowned surgeons this year at the "Rejuvenation of the Aging Face" seminar in San Diego, California.
The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is the world's largest specialty association for facial plastic surgery. The academy represents more than 2,700 facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons throughout the world. The AAFPRS is a National Medical Specialty Society of the American Medical Association (AMA), and holds an official seat in both the AMA House of Delegates and the American College of Surgeons board of governors. Members of the AAFPRS are board certified surgeons whose focus is surgery of the face, head, and neck.
Min S. Ahn, MD FACS, double board certified Facial Plastic Surgeon and Medical Director of the Aesthetic Wellness Center in Westborough, MA, was one of 60 distinguished faculty members invited to instruct and lead courses at the conference.
Dr. Ahn was a faculty instructor for the program: "Contemporary Techniques in Aging Face Surgery," a unique cadaver dissection lab which offers participants the opportunity to practice the surgical techniques that are performed by masters in the field of facial plastic surgery. During this workshop, Dr. Ahn offered hands-on instruction to participating physicians on his surgical approach for rejuvenating the aging face.
Dr. Ahn was also asked by the organizers of the conference to teach another course and to be the moderator for a five-member panel composed of nationally recognized expert consultants. Dr. Ahn led the discussion on tips and pearls of successful facial plastic surgery practices throughout the country.
Dr. Ahn specializes in facial aesthetic rejuvenation and understands that patients need individualized care depending on their goals and expectations. Using his artistic eye, surgical experience, and wide-ranging skills, he guides his clients through this highly personal process- whether it is a minimally invasive treatment or a cosmetically transforming surgery.
