Q-What is laser surgery?
A-Laser surgery involves the use of laser to treat a variety of conditions. At the Aesthetic Wellness Center, we use the Candela family of lasers to treat spider veins, rosacea, brown spots, acne scarring and sun damage of the upper chest.

Q-Who is a candidate for laser surgery?
A-Individuals who are looking to improve the appearance of spider veins, rosacea, acne scarring, brown spots and/or sun damage of the upper chest may be good candidates for laser surgery.

Q-What will happen during a consultation for laser surgery?
A-During the consultation for laser surgery, Dr. Ahn will discuss your available treatment options including the benefits and expected outcomes. He will help you to make an informed decision by answering any questions or concerns that you have and educating you about the laser surgery procedure. To show you the potential results that may be achieved, digital photography and computer imaging may be used.

Q-How does laser surgery treat spider veins?
A-The laser targets the pigment in unsightly spider veins, thus improving their appearance. Just a few office visits are needed to treat them.

Q-How does laser surgery treat rosacea?
A-A gentle yet intense laser is used to treat rosacea and its associated redness. All types of rosacea can be treated in just three to five treatments.

Q-How does laser surgery treat acne scarring?
A-The laser targets overactive sebaceous glands in the skin which is the root cause of acne. Long-lasting acne relief can be achieved with just three to four treatments.

Q-How does laser surgery treat brown spots?
A-Brown spots or discoloration caused by aging and sun damaged can be treated with laser surgery. Just a few office visits and a few pulses of the laser are needed to erase this unwanted discoloration.

Q-How does laser surgery treat sun damage of the upper chest?
A-Sun damage of the upper chest or dcollet can be treated with a combination of laser therapies.

Q-Do patients experience much pain after undergoing laser surgery?
A-Some mild discomfort after undergoing laser surgery.

Q-What sort of recovery is there after laser surgery?
A-Patients may experience some redness and swelling of the skin after laser surgery. Discomfort may also occur but is usually mild. Patients will need to protect the treated area from the sun for a period of time.
